CSEA SUPPORTING PBS IN WATERTOWN
(Mark Kotzin, CSEA Region 5 Communications Specialist)
As many of you may be aware, CSEA has been a longtime sponsor of public television, and specifically of WPBS in Watertown, as an annual sponsor of their All-Star Auction. This year, we will be sponsoring an entire evening at the All-Star Auction on Sunday, April 30th. We will have two shifts available for volunteers, from 6-9pm and from 9-12pm, with volunteers arriving a half-hour before for a brief training and dinner. We have all sorts of volunteer opportunities available, from Phone Operators, to Board Markers, to Sorters and Runners, to Auctioneers and Vanna Presenters.
We always have a great time doing this event, and it's a great way for you to participate in a fun union-sponsored activity benefiting our community. Especially with proposed federal cuts targeting public television, WPBS needs our help this year more than ever before.
Cape Vincent Correctional Local President Jolene Radley has stepped up to serve as our volunteer recruitment coordinator for this evening. If you are interested in volunteering, please call Jolene to secure your volunteer slot. Opportunities are limited and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Jolene can be reached at 315-654-4100, ext. 4200 from 7:15am to 3:15pm or at 315-783-7820 afterward. There will be dinner served and free CSEA tee shirts for our volunteers.
Please help CSEA help WPBS by stepping up to volunteer for this worthwhile and fun event! (See the link below)
