CSEA members can purchase discount tickets for $3 per vehicle by stopping at Skä•noñh – Great Law of Peace Center (formerly known as Sainte Marie Among The Iroquois) in Liverpool prior to going to Onondaga Lake Park. Onondaga Local 834 will also be providing refreshments and a special visit from Santa for the kids from 6 to 7:45pm. There will also be a collection of donations for the Food Bank of Central New York, so please help by bringing your generous donation of non-perishable food to Skä•noñh.
REMINDER - POLAR PLUNGE 2015
It's that time of year again - CSEA Region 5 is participating in the Polar Plunge this Sunday, December 6th in Brewerton. Most of our Local Officers will be "freezin' for a reason," jumping into the frigid waters of Oneida Lake to raise money for New York State Special Olympics. Consider passing the hat in the office to collect and pledge a few dollars. You can contribute to the CSEA Region 5 team online at http://2015CNY.kintera.org/faf/r.asp?t=12&i=1141911&g=6449687 or select one or more of our Local Officers on the Region 5 team page to donate to the individual team member. The link to my personal fundraising page is http://2015CNY.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=1141911&supId=245645077. More information in that regard is available on the Polar Plunge web site. Thank you for your support to raise funds for the Special Olympics athletes!

DO YOU KNOW YOUR CSEA ID NUMBER?
Every CSEA Membership Number begins with “123.” If you do not know your membership number, you may obtain it through the CSEA web site, www.cseany.org, by clicking on “Look up your CSEA ID” at the top of the home page. Once a month we will randomly insert a member’s ID number somewhere within the text of a Receiver Notice. If you see your member ID number, contact me within 48 hours and you will receive a check for $20. (Our November 2015 member that received a $20 check was from Tompkins County.)
SAVE THE DATE – 2016 WATER SAFARI
For those that like to plan ahead, our 2016 Old Forge Water Safari event, which is typically held in July, is scheduled on August 13th next year.
