STUDENT DEBT RELIEF CLINIC
AFSCME & CSEA are presenting a “Student Debt Relief Clinic” on Saturday, August 20th, 2016, at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This free event has limited seating available and is open to CSEA-represented members, their friends and families. Contact Mildred Garcia at 518-257-1411 or firstname.lastname@example.org for further information. Click the link below for further information.
KRONOS – VERIFYING YOUR TIME
Whether you are an employee that swipes in daily or an employee that is not required to swipe in daily, you are required to verify the accuracy of your timesheet, attesting to the fact that you were working during the times indicated on your Kronos, including the length of your lunch hour. If you are not required to swipe and falsely attest to having worked certain hours/days, you can face very serious consequences, leading to a possible Inspector General investigation and termination. Unfortunately, I have seen this happen while representing our members. Information to keep in mind for those that are not required to swipe in/out…..
OUT OF OFFICE
I will be out of the office on Union business Friday, 7/15 and the week of 7/18-22. If you have a Union matter, contact a Local/Unit officer, as listed on our web site. Calls/emails will be returned as soon as possible.
DO YOU KNOW YOUR CSEA ID NUMBER?
Every CSEA Membership Number begins with “123.” If you do not know your membership number, you may obtain it through the CSEA web site, www.cseany.org, by clicking on “Look up your CSEA ID” at the top of the home page. Once a month, we randomly insert a member’s ID number somewhere within the text of a Receiver Notice. If you see your member ID number, contact me within 48 hours and you will receive a check for $20. (Our June 2016 member that received a $20 check was from Otsego County.)
